You know that embarrassed feeling when you're late for a meeting? I hate that, and confession session that has happened to me more times than I would like to admit... for Zoom meetings...when I am actually already sitting at my computerπ± So I have to share this Chrome extension that has helped me out.
It is called Checker Plus for Google Calendar. It is a simple enhancement to regular calendar notifications. I set it to remind me with a ding ποΈ and a pop-up right in the middle of my screen, not just 10 minutes before a call but also 2 minutes before because I can and do get distracted.
More cool features:
- It syncs with your calendars (yes all the ones you have and are subscribed to).
- It shows the time of the next event on my calendar in the Chrome window (see orange arrow).
- I can click on that same icon and quickly see all my day events.
- You can customize notifications to be different for each calendar.
Here is how to get it for yourself
1. Go to the Chrome webstoreβ
2. Search for Checker Plus
3. Click Add to Chrome.
4. Follow the steps. Give the permissions to your Google Calendar and you are set.
