Hi Reader,
Do you know where you get your clients from?
Make a list of your current and past clients over the last 3 months. Next to each one write how you got them.
These are the initial sources of my conversions from the last 6 months.
- LinkedIn
- Speaking / Training
- In-person networking
Logic would tell me that those are the channels I should focus on and forget about the rest. ๐ง๐ง Logic would be wrong because the reason why each of these channels has been successful is because of the relationships that I have developed after the initial touchpoint, and these relationships are how I show my expertise and trustworthiness.
You have probably heard the statistic that it takes anywhere from 8-15 touchpoints before you get a conversion. You can lessen that number by making each touchpoint have value and build relationships.
Don't focus on one thing - think of all the ways you nurture potential clients on their client journey to conversion.
Looking at my monthly data is great because it gives me information about all my marketing tactics. But what lights me up every day are the relationships that I am building, and they also bring me business ๐
I want to know what you found when you made your list. Were you surprised at all or was it what you expected? Let me know.
P.S. I appreciate you!
