All roads lead to your website. And when anyone arrives that user experience (otherwise known as UX) makes the difference between them staying or going.
What makes up user experience:
Loading speed
Mobile optimization
Ease of use
How is user experience part of SEO? The acronym E-E-A-T is what Google uses to tell you what it expects from a site to show it in search results. It stands for Experience, Expertise, Authority and Trust. The crawlers (think the spider web of Google programming that scrapes the web) are also looking at the experience users have on your website.
How can you make sure that your site has a great user experience? Start simple - go to your website on both mobile and desktop. Does the site load quickly? How does everything look? You wouldn't believe how many people don't look at their website on mobile view to make sure the layout worksπ
Click on all the links. Do they go where they are supposed to? Is it clear what action you want the user to take on each page? Is navigating from one page to another and back clear? Doing this simple exercise can help you catch any errors that are easily fixed.

I was going to write on a different topic today but I looked at my analytics and saw I had traffic but many users didn't go past the homepage. First thing to check - page speed. I saw that it had declined and needs some attention.
Whenever we make changes, additions, delete things - we have to check to make sure the UX is still great. Haven't made any changes recently? It is still a good practice to go and check. The internet can be squirrely.
